Hi everybody!Hi everybody!JiHiHi everybody!
I'm working on "actors-and-actress-pages" at the moment and I found interesting things.
1) 1919 film
When you look at cast of Anne of Green Gables (1919) you can see that Gilbert was played by two actors - Paul Kelly and George Stewart. I was searching for some information and I found that Paul was 20 and George was 31 years old when the film was shot. We know that this film is lost, however, I still wonder why two actors portrayed Gilbert in one film. I think, that Paul was "Gilbert-student" and George was "Gilbert-adult". But I don't know if my thought is correct.
2) 1972 TV series
This is really mystery for me. But some people saw this TV series and maybe they know the answer. I made a page for Christopher Blake, the actor who portrayed Gilbert in Anne of Avonlea (1975). Wikipedia page says: "Blake first came to the attention of television audiences in 1972 when he was cast as Gilbert Blythe in the 1972 BBC mini-series of. He would later reprise the role in 1975 when Anne of Avonlea was made..." I thought that this information was incorrect, because (as you can see at IMDb), Robin Halstead played Gilbert in 1972 TV series. The same information you can find on LMM Reasearch Group. I found the full cast at IMDb and there is Robin credited as Gilbert in 4 episodes and Christopher as Gilbert in unknown episodes. That is strange, because Gilbert (according to Episode 1 credits) didn't appear in first episode and Robin portrayed him in four remaining episodes. Do you know something about Christopher's role in 1972 series? Did he really appear there? Or it was only a mistake? mmmmmmI'm working on "actors-and-actress-pages" at the moment and I found interesting thing
