So... I finished watching Akage no An yesterday and my work is almost done. After two months of watching, writing down the notes, uploading info and editing, it's finally the time to sum up and sort out my thoughts.
My Review
Akage no An is without any doubts a perfect adaptation of Anne of Green Gables. It covers EVERY single moment mentioned in the book - the only thing that wasn't included is Anne's walk through the Haunted Forest. I totally fell in love with that story once again.
The series has enchanting music and flawless drawings. When I started to watch it, I was a little bit afraid as I usually watch films and TV series in my language or in English. But after several episodes I got used to Japanese language and even learnt some phrases like konnichiwa, arigato, sayonara, ninjin and Matthew's catchphrase soh sa no. (OK, I really don't know how they write it. Matthew used it at least 4 times in every episode and they translated it as right or well.)
It was the first anime I've ever watched. I've seen like 2 or 3 episodes of Naruto, Pokémon and Deltora Quest, but this was the first series I've watched episode after episode. And there is one more thing - I never cried when Matthew died - nor in the book nor in the 1985 film. But when I've seen episode 47, I started to cry and I could not stop.
How the whole process of creating pages here looks like?
Someone asked me this question on tumblr, so here's your answer:
- I watch the episode online and write down names of all characters who appear in that episode. I add some sign to names of those characters who said at least one word.
- I go to IMDb and upload the cast. (Yes, I'm the one who does that.)
- I go to maker.so and aogg.egloos.com and choose the picture. The one which perfectly represents some important moment from the episode.
- I go here, upload the picture(s) and add categories to it/them.
- I create the new page and gallery.
This whole process takes c. 90 minutes.

My work is done - almost! But we need your help.
The problem is that IMDb had NO info about voice cast in particular episodes. And I can't read Japanese, so the ending credits are useless for me. Sometimes, they are not included in the video. So the cast info here is completely created by me and based on info I found on Japanese and Chinese Wikipedia (thanks, Google Translate).
As you might have noticed, many episodes have Unknown as Character in their voice cast section. Explanation is simple - I could not find any info about the actors who provided the voices of those characters and I don't even know if they are mentioned in the credits. So if anyone of you know who voiced them, contact us or edit the pages yourself.
There is also chaos around Mrs. Allan's voice actress - some sources claim that it was Yoko Egawa and some says it was Saiko Egawa (or Psycho Egawa as Google Translate calls her :D ) who already voiced Prissy Andrews and Priscilla Grant. I don't know what to do, honestly. I can compare their voices and we'll see. Both Chinese and Japanese Wikipedia claim it was Saiko so maybe we should use their info...
