Biography[]
Birth[]
Little Fred was born in July 1887 in Avonlea, Prince Edward Island, to Diana Barry and Fred Wright. When Anne Shirley visited the Barry's, Fred's mother was very proud of him.
The little fat fellow was absurdly like Fred Wright just as round, just as red. Anne really could not say conscientiously that she thought him beautiful, but she vowed sincerely that he was sweet and kissable and altogether delightful.
At first, Diana wanted a little girl, as she had hoped that she could call her Anne - but when Fred was born, she said that she wouldn't exchange him for a million girls.
