David "Dave" Blythe was the great-uncle of Gilbert Blythe, and the former doctor of the Glen area.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Dave was born in 1820s in Avonlea, Prince Edward Island, to Mr. and Mrs. Blythe. He was raised there and attended Avonlea school. Dave decided to continue with studies and he wanted to become a doctor.
His dream came true when he finished his study at medicine school probably in Kingsport, Nova Scotia. He met his future wife probably in 1840s and they were married. After some time they moved to Glen St. Mary and settled down there. Dave became the doctor of Glen, Four Winds and harbor.
