Cecily King was the daughter of Alec and Janet King, the sister of Felicity, Felix, and Daniel, and the cousin of Andrew King, Sara Stanley and Montgomery Dale.

Behind the scenes

Portrayal

• Harmony Cramp portrayed Cecily in Road to Avonlea (1990–1996), in the first five seasons of the show.
• Molly Atkinson replaced Cramp in the role as Cecily for the remaining two seasons and returned to play the part in Happy Christmas, Miss King (1998).

Trivia

• The official Road to Avonlea website describes her as, Cecily is the quiet, younger daughter of Alec and Janet King. Unlike her sister Felicity and brother Felix, Cecily loves the farm and is content to stay in Avonlea. Cecily gets Tuberculosis, which causes much worry for friends and family, but fortunately she makes a full recovery.
• The 2012 version of the website described her as, Cecily King is the third child to Alec King and Janet King. Cecily is mild tempered, and gentle, especially in comparison to her siblings and her cousin. Cecily, being the youngest, was not always allowed to join her siblings when they ventured outside, and was most often told to stay at home. Cecily is very fond of animals, and the family dog Digger is affectionate towards her. She cares for the animals on King farm and is especially fond of the horses.
  
  In 1908, Cecily contracted tuberculosis, and Alec and Janet had to make the difficult decision to send her to the Thornhill sanitarium in New England. When Cecily was finally well enough to come home, she was met with fear and ignorance by the people of Avonlea. The school board also requested that Cecily not attend class and stay home. Alec and Janet were also very strict with Cecily’s treatment, making her sleep in the summer kitchen outside, to get plenty of fresh air. But when Cecily became restless and aggravated at the notion of staying in the summer kitchen all day, she defied her father and took her horse for a ride.
