"I read in a book once that a rose by any other name would smell as sweet, but I've never been able to believe it. I don't believe a rose would be as nice if it was called a thistle or a skunk-cabbage."
This article is about a fictional location in Prince Edward Island. You may be looking for "Avonlea!!", a Project Green Gables episode.

Avonlea was a village in Prince Edward Island where Anne Shirley lived after being adopted by Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert.

Avonlea wasn't a big village. In 1870s and 1880s, there were about three hundred people living there. Pyes and Sloanes were the biggest clans. Also, the White, Wright, Andrews, Bell, and Gillis families had many members.
