Trivia
- The entire series was believed to have been aired live but never recorded, and is subsequently believed to be lost.
Casting
- The Lorimer sisters, Carole and Shirley, played the role as Anne Shirley. Carole appeared in the first five episodes, Shirley made her first and only appearance in the last episode, "The Bend in the Road".
- Gilbert Blythe is also portrayed by two actors, the Spenser brothers. The younger one, Jeremy, played him in "Anne to the Rescue". David, the older one, appeared in "The Lily Maiden" and "The Bend in the Road". The creators most likely chose the brothers in order to show Gilbert's physical growth and that some time passed between episodes.
- Charmion King played Mrs. Allen in episode titled "Great-Aunt Josephine". Many years later, King would portray great-aunt Josephine in Anne of Green Gables (1985) and Anne of Green Gables: The Sequel (1987).
